When two resisters are joined in series, the equivalent resistance is 90. when the same resistors are joined in parallel, the equivalent resistance is 20. calculate the resistance of the two resistors.

Let the resistors be x and y. then,
x+y=90...... (I)
(x+y)/xy=1/20.....(ii)
on solving we get
x=60
y=30
x+y=90...... (I)
(x+y)/xy=1/20.....(ii)
on solving we get
x=60
y=30
