▶️When the resistors are connected in series: Rs = R1 + R2
▶️When the resistors are connected in parallel: -
1/Rp = 1/R1 + 1/R2
▶️So by substituting the given values we will get two equations as
▶️R1 + R2 = 16 -----------(1)
▶️R1×R2 = 3 (R1 + R2), using above equation
▶️R1×R2 = 48 ------------(2)
▶️Now from equations (1) & (2)
▶️We can get two possible pairs for the values of the resistors(R1,R2):-
▶️▶️(4,12) and (12,4)
