Given :  two unbiased coins are tossed

To Find :  probability of obtaining not more than 3 heads

Solution:

two unbiased coins are tossed

Each coin has two out comes  Head & Tail

Two coins are Tossed

Hence total possible outcomes = 2 x 2  = 4

n(S) = 4

HH , HT , TH , TT

E = obtaining not more than 3 heads

= obtaining 3 or less than 3 Heads

= 0 Head + 1 Head + 2 Head + 3 Head

0 Head  =   1   ( TT)

1  Head  =  2   ( HT , TH)

2 Head  = 1  ( HH)

3 Head  = 0

=> n(E)  =  1 + 2 + 1 + 0 = 4

Probability ( E)  = n(E)/n(S)

= 4/4

= 1

probability of obtaining not more than 3 heads = 1

Albuquerque was the major figure in the establishment of the Portuguese sea empire in the East. In 1510 he captured Goa, which he fortified and made the chief trading post and permanent naval base in India. To give it a stable character, he offered lands and subsidies to Portuguese men who would marry native women.
