when two wires carrying current in the same direction the net magnetic field in the midway between the two wires is equall to the difference of the two magnetic fields because of their opposite magnetic fields , while in case of solenoid wounded with two layer of wire we add the magnitue of magnetic fields due to each layer to find the net magnetic fulx density along the axis .Any one please

Explanation:

Given that , aa is the distance between two wires

the magnetic field due to first wire carrying a current II , at a distance a/2a/2 (midway) is given by ,

                B1=2πμ0.a/2I

 magnetic field due to second wire carrying a current II at a distance a/2a/2 (midway) is given by ,

                B2=2πμ0.a/2I

as the direction of current is opposite in two wires therefore by Right hand  thumb rule , both the magnetic fields will be in the same direction , therefore total magnetic field strength will be the sum of  two fields ,

       B=B1+B2=2πμ0.a/2I+2πμ0.a/2I ,

or    B=22πμ0.a/2I
