When u enter a dimly lit room, u r not able to see anything for few seconds why does this happen?

The answer to this question is actually quite simple! When you walk into a dimly lit room it takes a few seconds for your eyes to adjust to the light, especially if you were in a brighter room before. Your eyes adjust to the light by intense lighting that causes the pigments in the rhodopsin to decompose, this reduces your sensitivity to dim light!
