when u listen to the sound produced by a turning of fork and the sound of the same frequency produced by a sitar you find that turning forks sound flat whereas the sitar sounds shrill why??

It is due to the reason of their difference in pitch. A tuning fork produces flat sound as it has low pitch sound while the sitar produces a medium pitch sound

It is because the frequency of the waves of the sitar is higher than that in the tuning fork.
