The soapiness on the hands goes about as a grease and makes it hard to clutch the glass.

A glass tumbler as of now has a smooth surface and when the soap is applied on our hands, the soap doesn't have enough harsh surface to interlock with the surfaces of the glass tumbler notwithstanding when the quantity of the uneven surface in the glass tumbler is low.

Therefore, we don"t have enough hold to catch the glass tumbler.

Answer:

It is because glass has a smooth surface.so there will be less friction and soapy hands also have less friction.so while holding friction is less so it tends to slip!
