How?
If there is an increase in the output, then in order to stabilize the output a signal is feedback to input which in turn results in the decrease of output thus countering the increase which took place earlier. Thus the decrease in output can be associated with the decrease in input due to negative feedback . Hence with negative feedback the input impedance increases.
