when was indian consititution complete? why was it imported on 26 jan,1960

the indian constitution got completed on 26 november 1949 but was adopted on 26 january 1950 which celebrated as republic day is this was due to the honor pledge taken at  lahore session which took place in 1929 and adopted resolution of poorna swaraj on 26 january 1930
