Rowlatt act was passed in March 1919 by the British government in India.
Its proposals were :
1. This Act gave the British Government enormous powers to repress political activities.
2. According to this law, political prisoners could be detained in prison without trial for two years.
3. This act had been hurriedly passed through the imperial legislative council despite the united opposition of the Indian members.
