casteism is discrimination on grounds of caste. in ancient times,caste were divided on the basis of occupation. But then came the self proclaimed godmen who misinterpreted Vedas and Upanishads. They preached one cannot change their occupation ( today known as caste). Eliminating casteism is not easy as its 2000 years old tradition, but we can mitigate debilitating effect on our society
