The lightening is produced by the collision of clouds having opposite charge , about 30,000A current up to 100 million volts and light emits consists of gama rays, x rays, radio waves . Plasma temperature in the lightning can approach 28000k . To handle the much more power we must have to use heavy conducting rods should be used and with ultra heavy electrical circuits and storage capacitor. Although we do not have that technology in electrical energy storage yet now. So it is not easy to use this charge as electricity.
