EXPLANATION:

   The word Adi Granth means the First book. It is the holy book of Sikhs. It is compilation of Guru Arjun dev ji. He is fifth guru of Sikh. In 1704-1706 Guru Govind singh added some holy word in this adi Granth. Before taking heavinly abode in 20 october1708 he told this Adi granth is perpetual guru of Sikhs and then it become Shri guru granth sahib ji.

  The original copy of this granth is kept in kartarpur, Panjab. The whole guru granth sahib has 1430 pages. This book is written in form of hymn witten in praise of god.
