When was the constitution completed and why was it imposed on 26th january 1950?

Constitution was formed in December 1949 but it was imposed on 26 January 1950 because that date is very significant. In 1930 in the Lahore session of Congress 26 January was declared as purna swarj day and it wa
s celebrated as Independence Day till the actual indepence year 1947. But after that 15 th August become Independence day and to make this day significant Constitution was imposed on this day.
