The first national forest policy was issued by the government of India in 1952.
Before the year 1952 forests were with zamindars and were not nationalised but in 1952 the Indian government framed a national forest policy but some people were continuously disobey the law passed by the govt. and then in the year 1988 the national forest policy was launched and it was a revised policy of 1952.
