When was the mahatma gandhi appointed the memmber of khilafat movement?

In 1920   an agreement was made between Khilafat leaders and the Indian National Congress. Congress leader Mohandas Gandhi become the memeber of the Khilafat movement and  in return the Khilafat leaders promised to work and fight together for the causes of  both Khilafat and Swaraj.
