In  the year 1953, the Central Government of India formed a constitutional body called as State Reorganization Commission (SRC).

The main motto of the members of the commission is to re-define the boundaries of the various Indian States, in order to carry out easier and smooth administrative activities.

The borders are re-organised on the basis of languages spoken in the region.

Official languages for each state are declared.
