This happens because when the bucket is in water, it experiences an upthrust in the vertically upward direction (2 forces acting to pull upwards while one force to pull downwards). Therefore, we can easily pull it in water but once it is out, there is no upthrust and now, there is only 1 force (muscular force) which is pulling

this happens b'cuz buoyant force inside water is more than in air.....
since the total weight of bucket is less in water than in air......
