Answer:

The original fraction is \frac{18}{5} .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

Add 2/5 with the fraction we get 4

To find -

The fraction value.

Solution -

Let, the fraction is x

We can write given information as,

\frac{2}{5}+x=4

To get the value of x shift 4 to left it becomes (-4)

\frac{2}{5}-4=-x

For substract of fraction number it is important that all the Denominator should be same .

For that multiply \frac{2}{5} \:by \frac{2}{2}  and 4 \:by\: \frac{10}{10}

It becomes,

\frac{4}{10}-\frac{40}{10}  =-x

\frac{4-40}{10}=-x

\frac{-36}{10}=-x

Divide both side by (-1) we get

x=\frac{36}{10}

Divide by 2 we get

x= \frac{18}{5}

Now, these fraction doesn't have any number which comes together in any table.

The original fraction is \frac{18}{5}
