When few drops of acetic acid are dropped in the, the following events will occur:
1. Phenolphthalein will show no change in colour.
2. Acetic acid will mix in distilled water, but no physical or chemical change is observed.
3. Acetic acid has pH range of 3-6, so colour change may be orange to yellow.
4.On adding to solution of Sodium Carbonate, Carbon dioxide will be liberated, due to following reaction:
CH3COOH (aq) + NaHCO3(aq) →CH3COONa(aq) + CO2 (g) + H2O (l)
