when we add soda in vinegar it makes a gas . And when we dropp that on candle .Candle stop lighting. Give me the reason .

Because after reaction there will be emition of co2. And if we drop it on candle, the candle will blow off because co2 dont support combustion....

hi, when baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) is added into vinegar(acetic acid) the vinegar foams up baking soda along with liberation of CARBON DIOXIDE.

Now when we place a candle near it the flame blows up!! This is due to the liberated CO2 ( during vinegar n soda run). The CO2 gas deprives the candle flame from the available oxygen in its surrounding, due to this the flame finally blows up!!
