when we are getting old why the colour of our hairs changed into Brown or white?

Hair pores have pigments called melanin that gives hair characteristic color.

that's the reason sometimes members of same family have different hair colour, which is due to amount of melanin present on hair pores

and generally when age passes, we started losing hair melanin which results in white or grey hair.
