As we know that moon takes 27 days to complete it's one revolution around the earth. As it (moon) is a satellite of the earth.

We can see moon only when it is revolving around the earth. But when it is away from the earth we cannot see it.

We generally see moon at night, since here in question time is not specified.

We can't see moon at night, because of mooner eclipse.

Also, if moon is not visible then thier can be several cases responsible for it.
