when we combine metal with acid (physically) it forms a new substance but we know that when we physically combine two compound it results in a mixture. How???

A reaction of a metal with an acid is a chemical reaction. The formed substance is a compound. Though we combine both the substances physically, a chemical reaction takes place,its not a physical process.

Answer:it is true adding or putting substances together is physical but when the substance react to form a new substance,the product is a compound then but incase of no reaction,then we expect no new substance being formed hence a mixture results as the product
