It is due to friction. And friction produces heat. For example -

wood resist that motion of saw so that resistance we can say as FRICTION.
when there is friction between two rubbing parts heat will generate so saw becomes warm
remember, higher the friction larger amont of heat generate. larger amount of heat make wear saw tool faster.
