It's not uncommon to sweat when you eat hot or spicy foods. It just makes sense... if eating or drinking a specific food raises your body temperature, then your body will try to cool itself with sweating.

Spicy food causes a reaction very similar to a burning sensation in the tongue. The body thinks there's a fire... Well not literally, but at least gets the signal that it's getting rather hot in the mouth.
This results in opening up of the sweat glands and pushing of sweat into the pores in an attempt to cool down the perceived heat.
I myself sweat a lot in my head when eating spicy food, so much that, I usually need several paper towels to mop up my wet hair when eating some really spicy food (which I love and enjoy, BTW).
