pH is the scale used to determine the concentration of hydrogen ions in solution. The scale ranges from0−14 with 7 being the neutral value. Less than 7 is acidic and more than7 is basic. Hence, the pH value increases with decrease in hydrogen ion concentration as the solution becomes from basic.
