When we jump from a boat, the boat tends to move backward but it does not happen with a truck. Why?

when we jump from the boat the boat exerts certain pressure on us and we in reaction exert the same amount on the boat which moves it. but in case of a truck the mass of the truck is huge and consequently the force exerted should be large but the force we exert on it is less than required!
