when we keep the fingers as shown in the below figure, a throbbing sound is heart which is called pulse. dome of the cathedral of pisa with the "lamp of galileo" a story says that galileo counted the time period of the lamp post at cathedral of pisa by counting his pulse. if you were there in place of galileo, how you would have counted the time period assuming your pulse rate is 72/sec.​
