carbon dioxide is a waste product which is accumulated by the body cells while The breakdown of food takes place .

the blood vessel carries waste product from the cells to the heart and the heart pumps it into the lungs from which it is thrown out of the body.

we cannot say that we take in oxygen directly from the air we say that we take oxygen rich air from the surroundings .

and we exhale carbon dioxide which air.

Firstly, we don't inhale oxygen alone.

We inhale a mixture of gases.

From which oxygen is absorbed by alveoli and then transported to cells by blood.

Other toxic gases from cell as well as the mixture is exhaled out.
