This is because it is important to note that the velocity of the molecules does not increase with respect to the walls of the gas cylinder.

But when the cylinder is kept in a vehicle moving with a uniform motion and again the  vehicle is accelerated or decelerated the resultant effect is that then there will be a change in the gas kinetic energy and there will be a rise in the temperature.
