When we press a dropper dipped in water and release it the water level inside rises because when the dropper is empty air particles are filled into it.When we press the dropper near the water surface, air from the dropper is forcibly pushed out which results in the emptying of the dropper. After that when we release the dropper, water molecules forces itself inside resulting in the rise in water level inside.
