When we put a burning candle near the mouth of the test tube consisting of sulfuric acid and pieces of magnesium metal, it explodes due to the presence of hydrogen gas.

the equetion which these reactes are;

Mg(s) + H₂SO₄(aq) -------> MgSO4(aq) + H₂(g)

When a burning candle is brought near the mouth of a test tube containing hydrogen, it makes a pop sound.

It is because hydrogen gas is very highly flammable and thatswhy it forms an explosive mixture reacting with air
