When we realesed our breathe after holding it for sometimes, why do we breath heavily

because breath is stuck for few minutes. our human body parts want oxygen to alive. so we breath fast after that. I think so.....

this so because when we breathe after a while,the previous oxygen present in our body gets used up in breaking down of food and require more of it for continuing this process and break in between leads to deficiency of oxygen which is compensated with a heavy breathe
