When we release our breath after holding it for some time, we had to breathe heavily. Can you tell me why it was so?

when we hold our breath the gaseous exchange is not possible because co2 can not Removal from our body and O2 not bind with Hb. ok so deficiency of O2 in our body hence need of o2 so heavy breath occur..
