When we released ourbreath after it for some times we had to breathe heavily .can you tell me why it was so ?

Because when we breadth out the amount of oxygen percentage in lungs low so we had to breadth heavily to gain the percentage of oxygen

this is because when we hold our breath our body cannot get sufficient supply of oxygen for the process of respiration so when we start breathing after holding it we breath heavily to fulfil the oxygen scarcity in the body
