when we rub our hands against each other the get warm ... why does this happen and what is the role of power , energy and work here?

When rubbing both hands, in a way they "grind" to create heat/warmth, the reason why it exactly happens besides this is because when you do it, it means they are trying to keep you warm on the hands because most people do this when their hands are cold, when rubbing both, it's trapping air and which then the rubbing causes it to get warm and presses against your hands to keep them warm. It's similar to how when metal scraps against itself, it creates sparks which could then set something on fire because of how hot the spark could be depending on what type of metal they are, when two rough surfaces rub against each other, they create heat, it builds up energy to go towards the air to make it warm, it does take energy to do it because it's not something you can do with ease without working up your muscles.
