When we see the object through fire it appears to be moving why?

The behavior of the air of rising up and getting replaced, creates a continuous ripple of low and high refractive indices. Whenever light from the objects comes to you passing through this “arena”, it bends at different angles. This causes an illusion of object being moved when seen.
