Every object on earth is acted upon by gravitional force / pull.

When the balance is lost, any object will tend to fall. Similarly, the weak holding force or the weak bond between the tissues of stem and the rippen fruit is further made weaker when the stem is shaken vigoursly.

Power of gravitational pull on the rippen fruit is more, hence it tend to fall.

This activity paved way to the theory and research on law of gravity by Isaac Newton.

Initially both the tree & the fruit hanging to its branches are in a state of rest.

When the branches of the tree are shaken, it is set into motion while the fruits remain in the state of rest due to inertia of rest.

Thus, the fruit get detached from the branches & fall down due to the pull of gravity.

Similar is the reason that some of the leaves may get detached from a tree if we vigorously shake its branches.
