when we stop pedalling the bicycle, it slows down and gradually stops . why ?

It is due to the frictional force. When we stop pedalling it, the rolling friction comes into play and it acts upon the tires of the bicycle and thus after sometime stops it.

Till we keep pedaling a bicycle that gets the force and moves forwards, but as we stop driving a moving cycle, friction opposes the motion so that with the result of it bicycle gradually slows down and then stops.
It’s due to now there is no any force is applied so that bicycle stops to move forward.
