When we take ice it melts and we feel cool. why?

When we take ice on our hand we feel cool because our hand temperature is more than ice so we feel cool.

It is due to heat transfer.
Suppose we have ice on our hand the ice absorbe the heat of our hand and produce cooling effect on the affected area.
And due to temperature rise or heat absorb by ice it starts melting.
