when we through a stone on a glass window it breaks but when we shoot a bullet at it their will be just a hole on its path . why is this?

It all because of the speed of the bullet.

when we shoot a bullet at a glass window it hit the glass with a high velocity and the pointed tip of the bullet which was designed to penetrate objects first touch the glass.

But when we through it on the window, first it hits the glass with a very low speed and second we are not sure that which part of the bullet touches it first.
