friend I think the ball will not come to us with less Force It is moving towards us with the force F = W.... that is weight is equal to mg =100*9.8=980N.....(let mass of the ball is 100 gm)
The ball is moving upwards with decreasing force because the gravitational force is trying to pull it down my friend...
so with the above shown force the ball will reach us
