we use the components of Sine and Cosine to check to Effect of related quantity in a particular Direction...
Suppose we have any Vector quantity like Force which is acting on a body subtending some angle...If we want to measure an effect of force on a body at right angle to it...then we need a component of force here...
This we get by resolving the vector into its componenets...
