When we vigorously shake the branches of a tree some of leaves and fruits fall from tree..why?

This happens because of inertia of those leaves. When the tree is shaked it's canopy also moves but because of inertia of the leaves they trend to remain in the same state as a result when the tree is shaked they fall down by the action of gravity.
