When we walk on sand our feet goes down inside the sand,but when we lie down,our body doesn't go under the sand.why?

This is because , pressure is inversely proportional to area.

When the area is smaller, the pressure is greater and when the area is larger the pressure is smaller.

Explanation: While standing on loose sand ,the area of our feet is smaller, therefore, the pressure is greater and we go deep in the soil but when we lie down the area of our body is larger, therefore it exerts a smaller pressure and we do not go deep in the soil
