When we walk, we press the ground in the backward direction, using our feet. Since friction acts in the opposite direction of motion, it pushes us forward. Hence, we are able to walk.'

When we walk we exert a force on the ground.... And thus ground also exerts an equal and opposite force of reaction by which we are able to move. Here friction acts in the opp direction means than it acts on the opp direction in which we r moving and a reaction force is exerted which helps us in moving.

when we walk,we exert a pressure on ground n according to newton's 3rd law ,,,ground also acts an equal n opposite reaction on us i.e.friction.....so....we move in forward direction
