When we write on a piece of glass sheet with a piece of chalk the writing is not clear?

Since the frictional force between the glass and the piece of chalk is very less. Therefore we are unable to write properly on glass.
In usual cases particles of calcium carbonate(CacO3) fall of to leave behind the traces.
