Each précis is to be double spaced, in a standard 12 point font, and have at least one inch margins on all four sides. Your name and pledge should appear at the end of the précis. All direct quotations are to be in quotation marks and followed by page reference in parentheses.

Hope it helps

The title should be in quotation marks.

  • Precis writing is the activity of compressing the passage and giving all the important tips to understand the gist of the passage.
  • it conveys the overall summary by employing minimal terms.
  • The title is the element which describes the overall context of the passage.
  • It represents the core idea of the passage and is always given in the beginning
  • It must be ideally supported with quotation marks
