when x^(4) - 2x^(2) + 1 is divided by x+3, the quotient is x ^(3)- 3x^ (2) + 7x - 21 and the remainder is : Please tell​

Dividend = Divisor×Quotient + Remainder

x^4 - 2x^2 + 1 = (x+3)(x^3 - 3x^2 + 7x -21) + Remainder

Remainder = {x^4 - 2x^2 +1} - (x+3)(x^3 - 3x^2 + 7x -21)

= x^4 - 2x^2 + 1 - x^4 +3x^3 -7x^2 +21x -3x^3 +9x^2 -21x + 63

= x^4-x^4 + 3x^3 -3x^3 -2x^2 -7x^2 + 9x^2 +21x-21x+ 1 +63

= -9x^2 +9x^2 +64

= 64
